A Fresh Outlook

Last week we started with  this:

An empty slate, ready for some new landscape!
And on Thursday, Wayne and I celebrated our
20th Anniversary by doing this:

What a difference a few plants and some fresh mulch make!

Before

After
Notice that the metal valleys have gone away with
the new roof!

The front of the house needed a little something.
Over the weekend, Wayne built the window box!

And it was the perfect addition under the upstairs front window!

Great curb appeal! Isn't it amazing what landscape can do to a home? I love the things that you have added. Also the window box really does something for the upstairs! Looks great!

DeeDee: It turned out beautifully. It looks totally finished, not even like you usually have to say, "It will look better when it fills in". Not at all. Good way to spend your anniversary and congratulations on 20 years. I love the little 'christmas' shapes of the stair guards. Just perfect..Happy Monday..Judy

Congratulations Dee Dee
on 20 yrs. of marriage. Love to hear of longtime marriages in this day and age. What a fun way to celebrate,
cause now every time you look at the front of your house it is a nice
reminder. Love how it looks, just beautiful and is such a wonderful enhancement to your already beautiful home. Simply amazing the difference landscaping can make. Wayne did a lovely job on the window box, I have always loved that look, and it is perfect on that window. Enjoy hon!
Blessings, Nellie

It looks wonderful! I love new landscaping before it starts to get overgrown (like ours). We just keep cutting things back but they grow so fast. We finally took out some bigger shrubs and started over!

I love the window box...such a sweet touch to your home.
