Valentines Wreath

I am not sure what my issue is but,
I guess after this past year doing....
I am having problems not doing!
A week ago I created a fabulously
I am trying to stick to my self imposed
"No Budget Decor January"
but really wanted to create a heart wreath for Valentines.
Ideally, I wanted to make my heart out of red burlap,
But alas... no red burlap in my stash of material.
Instead I found left over tulle!
Like "making the mouse a cookie"
the new wreath caused for a
theme change to the mantel!
From this....
To this!
On this side
I put a candle holder from Mom...
a vintage birdie from my Nona...
And a heart painted by my daughter
when she was very small!
This side I added a thrift store pitcher
atop a small book that was given to me
by my favorite college professor.
Some pink...
Some white....
Some memories...
Even some antique pink Christmas ornaments
that have yet to find their way to storage!

I'm ready for Valentines Day
(Unless I find I can't sit still next weekend!)

I am so excited to join Marty for

Mom's New Room

Mom and Dad recently added a beautiful all season's
sun room off the back of their house!

I thought that Table Top Tuesday would be a perfect
opportunity to share parts of their new room!
A special thank you to our wonderful hostess Marty

Mom has her side table all decked out for Spring and Easter!
I love the way that the mirror behind the side table reflects
the colors and light from the glass room!
Mom's sweet little bird peeks out from the colorful plants!
Tea anyone?
These tiny chairs are the perfect holder for little candles!
Mom topped her cup cake holder with Easter grass, a paper basket,
and a fun cup cake paper filled with tiny Easter eggs.
In the some of the other compartments she added these
sweet honey comb candles!
She thought the bunny I painted for her,
would work out here too!
I love the crackling on the side of her planter!

Mom surprised me today with some green tea
and cookies to enjoy together!

Please feel free to come and join us next time!

Tabletop Tuesday at Mom's

Three mornings a week I get to spend at Mom's house
helping to care for my dear grandmother, Nona!
This also means I get to enjoy all of Mom's
seasonal decorating!
Today I am joining Marty over at
A Stroll thru Life
Mom is all ready for fall!
She has plenty of pumpkins!

A seasonal reminder to "Give Thanks"!
She is even ready for all her grand kids too with
a bowl of candy corn and jack-o-lantern gum balls!
Every year Mom and Dad host a Pumpkin Party
for the grand kids!
Look at the pasta she found to make for the party!
Thank you for joining me today for a tour
of Mom's kitchen side table!
Have a wonderful day!
