It's my motto!
I learned it from my mom!
My Aunt Judy, see her wonderful blog here,
gave me this little plate...
isn't it the "sweetest"?
Under the sky blue sky...
we gather ....
With the warm winter sun....
casting it's glow all around.
China cups and
a silver pot with steaming hot tea.
A "room" with a view.
My Mom Mom's candlewick dishes...
add the sparkle I love!
Mom Mom's Sheridan silver reflects the world around!
China cups are marked
3541- Georgiana
M Japan.
I found the sugar container at a local thrift store.
My mom uses one like this for my grandma's powder creamer....
It makes me smile each morning to get my sugar
out of something so pretty!
The candlesticks and candles
were all gathered from different
thrift stores over the past few months.
Home Made Auntie Annes
(thanks to Wayne and the kids!)
My friend, Elyce, surprised me last year
with this wonderful handmade picnic blanket!
The pink edging is simply
the icing on the cake!
Thank you for joining me today on my Winter Picnic!

Love, Love, Love this table! Your Mom's candlewick is gorgeous. Great photos and it makes me long for spring! Hugs, Linda

Hi DeeDee: I'm a new follower. I have been noticing that I am behind you alot in leaving comments for Barbara. So I checked you out and when I read "it's a small world" I thought it was about time that we met. My husband and I were on a cruise to Alaska and the girl on XFactor (Can't remember her name because we haven't seen much of her yet) won the karoke contest on board. She is a beautiful singer and she went with Adam. Watch out for her (she's Indian). I really like Philip. Judy at GoldCountryCottage

Thanks for your sweet comments. I love these pictures - eating alfresco is my favorite.

I love the idea of taking the silver outside -- why not?
I always try to eat dessert first, doesn't everyone? Nice collection of candlewick.

Beautiful Dee Dee - and I just love those white chairs (gorgeous!). What a great idea! It's been so warm here in NY - I think I might try this!
Thanks for writing on my blog about my stolen lamp - what a bummer!

As I look out at the snow we got yesterday...it is hard to believe that it was so warm last week and supposed to be 60 tomorrow! I think the light hitting all of your pretties is just gorgeous! The sweets look yummy too!
this tablescape is STUNNING. I love everything, especially that tablecloth.
my sink is going in the kitchen, I salvaged another antique sink from the bathroom that will go back in a bathroom eventually.
I'm not loving how heavy those things are. How did you get yours up to the bathroom?
Photos in natural light are always amazing . . .
