Something free!

Just a quick look at a dresser I picked up
in the garbage a year or so ago!

I painted it black.  It needs to be touched up in
a place or two from our own wear and tear,
but has served us well by holding the kids homework supplies!

The lamp I found for a few dollar at a garage sale!

Much of my furniture has been bought at local
thrift stores or church sales! (I love a good church sale.)
I've decided from time to time I would show you some of these
"low investment" pieces!

Thanks for joining me today!
I would link to a posting site,
but I'm at a loss as to where to go!
Any ideas?

Hey, there is nothing better then a found piece of funiture. I have several in my "collection".
Your vignette is very stylish. Keep showing us your treasures. I like this idea!

What a great find! I found an old door by someone's trash the other day! It is now in my new booth. It was my first curb side rescue!!! Don't ya just love to find free stuff?

Dee Dee,
Coastal Charm has a Nifty Thrifty Tuesday and DebbieDoo's started a party for yard sales.
We are a lot alike! We have a very similar dresser in the craftroom! It is the best for organizing supplies! Your dresser is a great find! Hope you have a good weekend :)

Don't you just love a bargain? A free bargain is the best. Your dresser is a great shape...it would be fun to paint it white sometime with some colorful pulls.

I am not sure I would "touch it up". The wear and tear gives it charm . . .

Hello Deedee, I was happy to have you stroll in for a visit, I always appreciate the company of new friends.
Your lamp and dresser were great finds. It amazes me what a transformation a little TLC can do.
I read your sweet love story in your previous post. You looked so very young in the photo at McDonald's. The time does fly by when your having fun. I agree...It's such a delight to be married to your best friend.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
