Art Work Friday

Happy Friday!
Welcome to Art Work Friday!

Today, I am posting a small wire sculpture piece.

I created her from thin gauge craft wire.

She is made to balance by her hair.
I can easily move her from one place to another.

Today, she is hanging from my lampshade in the office!
Her arms are not fixed, so they can move
creating the illusion of dancing!

I have done this project with grade schoolers before
and am always amazed at what
they can create from simple wire!

If you are posting with me today.. thank you!
If you are visiting with me today.. thank you!

If you have a  minute, please take the time
to visit the sites of these wonderful artists!
You are sure to be inspired!

Your creativity never ceases to amaze me! Doug did the coolest photo collage and if I can figure out how to load it, I am going to participate in Art Work Friday this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Oh what a fabulous idea!! And, I certainly wish I could balance by my hair ;) I will have to do this with my son this evening, he has an artist roaring inside of him, can't wait to see what he will create!
Great, love it!

I'm shaking my head with amazement.
She shows up so simply but your mind can fill in her style. How do you do it?

If I tried this...it would look like I bent a coat hanger to try to get into my car. Some of us have it...some of us don't! I don't!

I love the free spirit that surrounds this piece and they say art reflects the artist, so I imagine you dancing uninhibited through life.

This would be such a fun project to do with children as you stated. They are so full of imagination and the outcome would be so unpredictable. I'm going to pass this idea on to friend of mine who teaches kindergarten, she'll love it!

Thanks, as always, for hosting this meme.

Deedee, You always amaze me. How can you take a piece of wire and make it look so good? And wow, kids can do it too! I love that you are experimenting with all kinds of media too>

Dee Dee, thank you for stopping in today. I think English Peas are a southern slag for green peas. You are so sweet.

You are so creative. You took ordinary wire and made it dance! She looks like she could dance and twirl all over the place. I love art, so I'm really enjoying your art posts. I'm on my way to check out your visitors with Mr. Linky. I can't wait to see what they have to share.

BTW. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm glad you're enjoying the process. Flipping houses is something I've always wanted to do, so I'm having fun with it.
