A Friendship Brunch

I'm so excited to post today's tablescape!

I am linking this to Tablescape Thursday at

Last week Mom hosted a brunch at her
beautiful home for several of her
friends in honor a good friend back for a visit.

As I was helping her set up I started taking
photos, until I ran out of battery!
Mom took the remaining photos
the day of the event!

She used her magnificent china and stemware!
She purchased these while living
in Japan 39 or so years ago.
The china pattern is Buckingham by Sango.
Personally, I just love her china!
Her stemware is Sasaki in the color of Smoke Green.
She folded the white napkins to look like hearts...
and added a touch of color with a petite pink ribbon.
The delicate tablecloth is one she brought back from
a trip to Budapest, Hungary!
Mom's silverware is Community by Oneida.
There is such a sweet story behind this silverware...
My grandma, Mom Mom Friend, saved up her
special stamps/ coupons in order to
trade them in for this beautiful set of silverware!
If anyone can remember the name of this stamp
system please leave me a comment!
(Mom just called and said the coupons
Mom Mom saved were found on boxes of
General Mills Products!)
Mom set up her table-side buffet with candy, cookies and tea!
It is hard to tell,
but the little dishes are in the shape of birds!
See Mom's "Bee Mine Cookie"- how cute!
Iced Cookies and Danish Treats
An assortment of yummy teas to enjoy!
 Fresh Vibrant Tulips!
Mini tea lights surrounded by tiny hearts!
Even the bird feeders received Valentines ribbons!
A view to that goes on and on!
Thank you for visiting with me today!
Please join me tomorrow for Art Work Friday!

What a lovely table and very formal looking.
I have had my china for over 39 yrs. now too.
It was from Japan but my In-laws bought it for
us at the Navy Exchange. But I still love it today.
Your Mom did such a lovely job I am sure everyone just loved it. The table was gorgeous, the view a delight! Loved how she put the ribbons on the bird feeder, what a great idea, and it shows up so pretty amongst all that snow! Love that big beautiful window too! Cudos to your mom. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings, Nellie

Hi Dee Dee, it's me again. Thanks for dropping by my blog and your kind words. I will try to participate in the near future on your art linky. Wasn't aware of it and I don't have very much art work. It's a hobby I did at one time, but haven't done any paintings in a few years.

Hi
Your mom had an absolutely wonderful tea, and she was so lucky to have you over to help and share the preparations with. My best events are those that my daughter comes over and helps me with. Great post.

That is the same way my mom got each of us kids a set of silverware, our graduation present. It was through the Betty Crocker mail order catalog. We saved coupons from cereal, cake mixes, & flour. They had a couple ways to order 'all coupons/no money' or some coupons/some money' etc. It's been about 10 yrs since I've seen a catalog and at that time they no longer had the coupon plan. You could order the Betty Crocker cookbooks, copper bottom Revere Wear kettles, Oneida silverware and I have a padded storage bag for my table leaves from it.
The silverware pattern you show looks just like the one my brother & his wife still use. I believe it was called Brahms.
Thanks for the memory!
