Art Work Friday

Happy Friday!

Welcome to Art Work Friday!

If you can paint, draw, create or
even take fabulous photos
come join us each week!

Now on to my art piece of the day...
Ever feel like somebody's watching you???
This has been another busy week, so I must confess
I've pulled this piece out of the "Art Vault".
Allow me to introduce you to Ken..
Ken was one of my best friends in college.
Really
mohawk and all!
I drew this for an art class portrait assignment.
If you notice the "mat" surrounding the drawing
is actually Ken's profile.
I drew this from a photo.
I wanted to make it special so not only did I sign it
but I had Ken sign it as well.
Ken's is at the top and mine towards the bottom.
(Mine is the DS)

Once again thank you for joining me today!

If you have trouble using Mr. Linky,
leave me a comment and I'll try to help!

Your talent amazes me. I love to try to paint and draw. It is both encouraging and frustrating to me. But I love to see what you are up to. Keep it up and keep posting about it. What have you done lately?

Fantastic work, I wish I could find my folder from My art classes, the whole thing vanished about 15 yrs ago. I know I put it up somewhere but goodness only knows where.
I like the way you have it matted.

I love the way you did the mat. I have to say when I saw the first picture, I thought it was of a lion. He's an interesting looking guy...kinda scary.

I love to see the things you create.

You are very creative - in your art as well as in your renovated laundry room.

If Ken only knew you were showing the world his picture!

Very unique way you matted the picture. I like that.

You were very talented back then and have developed and blossomed even more.

What a great idea to use his profile as the mat! It looks fantastic!

Said it before, I'll say it again... FACES are SO difficult! You did a beautiful job. The mat is so creative and clever too.

I have no talent in art as far as drawing or painting. I am pretty creative and can scrap book and write neatly but that is as far as it goes. Great job!

Dee Dee, I did get to read your comment on the older post! Thank you for your sweet words! I think sometimes God has bigger plans than we can imagine...it just takes patience. Something I am not good at!

Wow! This is such a neat picture! The charcoal sketch was great in itself, but I love how you framed it in his silhouette. OH, to have an ounce of your creativity:)
How's the weather down there? We got quite a bit of snow and it's still coming! Have a good weekend! Lisa
