Counting Sheep- Art Work Friday

Lately,my mind has been full of images of sheep.
I received some wonderful canvas from a dear friend
for an early Christmas gift!
I want to paint sheep.

When I was in college I had the privilege of traveling to England.
While there we visited Stonehenge.
It's funny, but what I remember most about Stonehenge...
the sheep.
Surrounding this ancient monument
were more sheep than one could possibly count.
I digress in memories!
Anyway, today I am posting a simple pencil sketch of a
sheep!  Or is that a lamb, since it's only one? Hmmmm...

Thank you for visiting with me today!
Your encouragement means so much to me!

Happy Friday!

Oh DeeDee...
What a most beautiful sketch you have made. I absolutely love it. So detailed. My gosh you are a wonderful artist. I have two left hands, and can do just enough to get by simply, you are wonderful. Thank you for sharing this morning.

I love you pooch. Is it a Great Dane or part? I had a Great Dane, and this one sure has the face, but the ears are throwing me off. Ours had her ears cropped at a young age. They are gentle giants, and I love this beautiful face.

Have a beautiful day sweetie. Please stop by and say hi. I love the company.

Country hugs...Sherry

I think it would be so wonderful to be able to sketch something and have it look like anything at all! You wanted a sheep and you sketched a handsome creature. I might want a sheep, but it would turn into a stick man, just like anything else I would try to create. I'm in awe of your talent.

Sheep have a certain quality about them that is endearing. I think you captured that in your sketch. You should do more--a herd or them:) Thanks for visiting me. Love to see your comments. Try to stay warm this weekend! It is going to be cold. Br-r-r

Your sketch is just lovely. We went to an auction a few weeks ago and there was a beautiful painting of a sheep. I loved it but it sold out of our price range. You are so talented.

When you sketch something, where do you keep it? You must have hundreds of sketches but do you display them? Or are we the only lucky ones to see them? Keep them coming!I look forward to your Fridays!

Ever see the movie Babe? This sheep reminds me of the ones in the movie, cute.

That is just beautiful. I wish I could draw like that. I am a decorative artist and do not have that kind of talent. Wonderful job!

I like the sheep!!! I take a painting and drawing class with an artist who is well known for his pencil drawings. I've never tried drawing much but he says it will really help my painting if I learn to draw. I've just finished some paintings of cows... I'll try to post them this Friday and join you for Artwork Friday. Think we could figure out that Mr. Linky thing???
