Mom's Easter Project
Mom's been gearing up for Easter around her house!
She decided to try her hand at growing wheat
to house her adorable little bunny!
I love the contrast of the bright green wheat grass
with the pretty little Easter Bunny!
I believe the hardest part of the project was
finding the wheat seed!
Now she just needs to keep it watered
and administer an occasional haircut!

Tell you mom that I love her Easter display. I used to grow wheat grass every year for Easter when my son was little. He loved to watch the progress of the grass growing in the container. Now that he's 18...not so much! Tall grass to him now just means he has to mow it :-)

Hi DeeDee, It is soooooo cute. Looks like it needs a bit of a trim now. Jude
This is so cute! How long does it take to grow once you plant the seeds? What a fun idea! Tell your mom it looks great :)

Wendy,
Mom called to let me know that once you plant the seeds it takes about 3 days to germinate and after two weeks, you have the full grown grass!

Very cute! I just may try that!
What a great idea. I love the wheat. Putting the bunny in the container is so cute. Very creative. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

So cute--I love the bright green!! makes me happy.
I love that sweet little rabbit. He's just perfect for Easter. Thanks for sharing!
When your mom gives the grass a haircut, she can use the wheat grass in her blended drinks. Or so I've heard, never tried it myself.
Great pictures. I like the way you have the camera angles.
I've been looking for some faux grass in a bucket for Spring but never thought to grow my own - thanks for the inspiration! Hope I can find the wheat seed. Your bunny is so pretty - love the rose in her ear!

I can't wait for Easter, I just love it. I need to get on top of it and get mine out!
I love that your Mom is growing her on wheat grass to house her glass bunny, that is just great!!
Girl, I wish I had started our wheat grass sooner!! You did such an adorable job.
aww what a sweet little bunny peeking through the grass. if this year is like normal we'll have a few in my backyard doing the very same thing on their way through the fence to my neighbors garden and they look a lot like yours.
What a cute idea! Looks great...just in time for Easter and fresh grass for spring fever! :)
I had a bunch of 1st graders plant grass in styrofoam cups one year. They drew faces on them, and then they got to bring their characters home and give them haircuts when the "hair" grew. Lol...so much fun!
So cute! We did a homeschooling project once that involved growing grass around a clay river when we studied Egypt and that's what I thought of when I saw those pictures. It was so fun!
Thanks for stopping by my blog - I wish I could come help organize. I love to do it!
What a charming idea and what great photography.
