Behind These Walls

Just wanted to give you a quick update on some of the
progress we have made in the Provision!
At this point about 90% of the walls and ceilings
that are coming down....
are down and most of the new walls
have gone up!

Before and Durings!

Living Room- Before
Living Room - During
We removed the walls, ceilings, and
fireplace surround
in this room!
We also decided to remove the arch in between the
living room and great room!
In doing this we were able to create a wider
opening which will take advantage of both the
front view and rear views!

Great Room

Our contractors removed the back windows and doors,
The wall was then re framed  for the new windows and
french doors.  Since they had not yet come in, our
contractors nailed the odd and end doors to the openings!
Here is the view from the outside!

Master Bedroom

All the walls and old closet were removed in this room!
(We still have the ceiling to demo.)
Our contractors have also framed for our new window
in this room!  This room only had one small window!
We can't wait till this wall is removed and the
new window installed!
The new window will go here and like the windows in the great room
will overlook the back yard!
Our Back Yard!

This room is now framed for the new powder bath!

Upstairs!

Madison's Room
Before
During- Part 1
During- Part 2
We knew that we had to remove the old closet
and tiny bathroom.
What we didn't count on was the horrible smell,
that didn't go away until....
we removed the ceiling and discovered a
Huge..... raccoon's nest in the rafters!
This was the original entrance to the secret room located
off Madison's room.
Madison decided to make this her walk-in-closet,
so our wonderful contractors created a new
entrance and framed up the walls
to be drywall ready!

The wall dividing the kids landing room and Zac's bedroom,
has also been built!
When removing the walls in the downstairs bathroom,
we came across this
writing on the wall!
If we are able to keep the stud,
I will be adding the new remodel to the list!
Since we have been busy inside,
Our orchard was not sprayed in time to ward off
the insects or whatever causes the brown spots.
We do have one pear tree that is spot free,
and it has been so much fun to watch them grow!

I hope to have more to share this week!
Stairs have been flipped and windows are
getting installed!

I am linking to Metamorphosis Monday
over at Between Naps On the Porch!
Have a wonderful week!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Life is swamped and unfortunately blogging
has simply fallen to the bottom of my
"get to do" list
way underneath my "have to do" list!

These past few weeks, since getting a contract
on the house, have been so busy!

Our weekends and evenings have been spent
gutting the new house!
We were also able to get our wonderful
contractors started on some work, as well!
I've been taking photos and hopefully next week
will have some time to post all the great changes!
We have been  working getting bids
for things such as...
heating/ air
plumbing
insulation
&
electric!
We have also received a bids
for fun things like kitchen cabinets
and have scoured our local
big box stores for
deep discount, top of the line
appliances!
New windows and doors have been ordered!
School is over for the summer!
Temporary housing has been found (finally)!
Boxes are being packed
and moving truck has been reserved for this
Saturday!
Closing is scheduled for this coming
Tuesday morning.

I'm doing my best to stay up to date with all my blog friends,
however I'm not always able to comment like I want....
I miss you all and look forward to catching up more soon.

If you look closely at the photo, you might see the
double rainbow!
Have a wonderful week!
