Art Work Friday

Happy Friday!

Welcome to Art Work Friday!

This is a drawing I did several years ago
for my parents.
They were married in Annapolis, Maryland
on June 10, 1967
at the Naval Acadamy Chapel.
Here is the whole picture...
The city of Annapolis is beautiful!
A close up of the window detail.
This is how Mom had it framed.
If you look closely, you can see me taking the photo!

Thank you for visiting with me today!
If you have any original art work that you would like to share,

I'm so glad that you kept all your treasures!
Does does your mom have any from when you first started drawing?
Keep them coming!!!!

I love the detail on your drawing! I wish I could draw... I've never really learned how! There is a girl in my art class who does beautiful work like you. Last week she was drawing a Southern plantation house with a live oak in front.

One other thing I noticed was your mom's wedding picture. I think I have the same background on mine! Her train is almost identical too. Did she get married in 1967 like me???

What wonderful detail. I don't know the right terminology (perspective? 3d?), whatever it's called, you have it down! Awesome job. Love it.

I had to look really hard to find your reflection in the picture. I would have never found it if you hadn't mentioned it (or if my daughter hadn't helped me...lol!).

Dee Dee,
That is a beautiful drawing of the chapel. I love how your mom framed it. Makes for a very special treasure!

Ryn: Thanks. Yeah, I think we're glutton for punishment because as soon as it sells, we're planning to buy another one to do all over again. It's a lot of work, but we enjoy the process.

You really did a great job with this. Your parents must treasure it.

Thanks for the prayers for my mom. It is a scary time right now. It really helps.

Wow that is beautiful! I did not know you were doing this...not that I have any artwork, lol, but my 10-year-old just won 1st place in an art show here, and the 8-year-old made it in the show. They are the artists!
