Chain Saws and Easter Eggs

Chain Saws

When you buy your husband a chain saw....

He will down some dead trees
and when he downs the trees...

He will notice this over grown tree island

and before you know it...
he will clear the undergrowth...

And when he clears the undergrowth...
We will spend 4 hours weeding the ground.

And when we finish weeding...

We will haul the limbs to the curb

And after we haul all the limbs...
We head down to the creek...

And enjoy the bank that we cleared out...

Two weekends ago...

Prior to getting my husband the chain saw!

Easter Eggs

Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny have been busy laying eggs
all over Grandma and Grandpa's yard!

The kids have scoped out the yard....

And are ready to hunt...

Back inside, it is
time to "crack the eggs"...
But instead of candy
these bunnies lay...

$$!

Hope you each had a
wonderful Easter weekend!

Looks good...looks like some r&r might be in order, too. Do you guys ever rest??? ;)

We hid money eggs, too. I did a scavenger hunt and made it really tricky. But the joke was on me because I had to hide them (I got so confused I had to make myself a map). Happy Easter, Dee Dee!

DeeDee: I bet that Bunny is real popular at Grandma's and Grandpa's house!! Sounds like getting a new chain saw is much like working on an old house. You do one project and it leads to another and another, etc. It's beautifully cleared though and what a great thing to live close by a creek. From one who knows from many years ago..Happy Easter Day..Judy

Too cute Dee Dee!!My husband bought a new chain saw when his first one broke last fall after we got hit with Irene and then and an early ice storm. We lost 3 trees...and 2 chain saws!!!

Hope you enjoyed a beautiful Easter sunday!!!

What a peaceful and calming retreat. All your neighbors must be so happy to have you in the neighborhood.

Summertime...ahhh..good old summertime down by the creek!

Your egg hunt sounds like ours . . . Although ours won't happen until next week when we combine a birthday and family dinner and "egg scavenger scramble 2012." The moms and dads were at their inlaws today, plus one grandson is skiing out west. Gram and Gramps and Snickers spent the day together and made plans for the big weekend over the fourteenth. (Eggs filled with coins appeals to the older grandkids big time!)

Yes! Money eggs! My son used to get those too from the Easter Bunny. ;)
Just stopping by to wish you a Happy Easter, Dee Dee. I can see that you and your family had a wonderful time!
Best,
Gloria

Hey Dee...great post! You had me laughing - I thought you were going to parody that "Direct TV" commercial where the man has to suffer many different consequences because of a few actions. Do you know that one?

Now you have a cleared out bed where you can plant a lot of beautiful flowers!

Seems like you had a great Easter - me too. We were waiting to hear if my youngest child was going to give birth (the contractions started Easter monring!). The baby didn't arrive until 5 PM on Monday (2PM California time - where she is). I will be going out there next week to help her...and in the summer she will be moving back here to NY. So Happy am I!

Check out my other blog - the last post I did on doing a ceiling decoration. It's been getting a lot of comments...

I wish I had a creek! Well, I wish I had an ocean or a lake...but a creek would be nice too. I just try to enjoy the sound of my little fountain!
