I am so excited to be joining Wendy's cookie party
over at Relatively Unique!
I highly encourage you to head on over
and check out her party!
If you feel inspired, create your own cookie post
and join in the fun!
Now, my favorite cookie is the basic chocolate chip.
Throw some oatmeal into the mix
and that's yummy too!
Today's cookie is all about the "no-bake".
You will need:
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of butter
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups of quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix the first 5 ingredients together
over high heat.
Bring to boil.
Boil for 1 minute!
( I'm sure that this boiling process is important,
but I'm not sure why?
My guess is that it has something to do with science!)
While I was mixing and boiling,
Madison (my daughter) helped by:
Measuring peanut butter
and
oatmeal!
After boiling for 1 minute:
add the quick oats
the peanut butter
and vanilla
Mix!
Using a scoop or a spoon,
Drop mixture onto wax paper!
Allow time to set!
Eat and enjoy!

Oh DeeDee, those are my favorite cookies. I love, love, love them. I usually make them around Christmas. Have an extra one for me. Jude
You are such a good friend! Thank for joining in on the party! These look so good and the kids will love making (and eatting) them! Yum!!

I'm looking at that new counter! WOW!
It looks like it was made for making cookies.
Way to go Madison (and Mom).
My grandmother made these cookies. I love them, in fact a bit too much. If you didn't boil the sugar that long, it wouldn't get to a temperature high enough to set up!
What,,, no bake cookies, Im in, they look delish! I'm going to try making those. Cute post cookie monster!

Love to Gwen!
I never make these although they are one of my favorites. Maybe I'll give them a try.
I love your ceramic spoon rest.
These were awesome DeeDee! Thanks for bringing them yesterday, I think I ate 2...maybe 3! I'll have to make some for the kids this weekend!
Love,
Amy
I saw you over at Wendy's Cookie Exchange. I LOVE these cookies! My mom used to make them for us all the time! :)
These are perfect for "baking" on hot days!
...or if the oven is busy with a lot of dinner foods.
And I do LOVE Cookie Monster!

These DO NOT last long in our house. It's one of my favorite cookies. I love the no bake" part.
