D.A.R.E.

Congratulations Madison!

Tonight we were able to attend Madison's
6th grade D.A.R.E. Graduation!
D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education
and is a program that is taught as part of the
6th grade health curriculum in our school!
The program, taught by a local police officer,
teaches the kids the hazards of substance abuse.
At the end of the graduation the kids, all 300+,
ended the night taking the D.A.R.E. pledge to
remain drug free!

We are proud of you!

What a great program for kids. At my school the students really enjoy it and establish a great relationship with their D.A.R.E. officer. Madison is pretty darn cute in that photo . . .

Due to budget cuts our school district has canceled our D.A.R.E program. The students really did have a great relationship with the officers.
And yes, Madison does look like her mom, cute!

Congratulations to Madison on completing the DARE program. I think it's a wonderful program and really does help the kids learn about the hazards of substance abuse and establish a relationship with a local police officer. I'm glad to see it is still being offered at schools.
