Happy Friday!
Welcome to Art Work Friday!
This has been one of those strange days.
At 5:30 this morning we received the "one call"
letting us know that the kids' schools
were on a two hour delay!
While I welcomed the extra sleep, this delay
canceled my normal Thursday morning Bible Study.
However, with my morning plans canceled for me,
I had an opportunity
to venture down to my studio to paint!
Mary had a little....
I worked with oils on a small 5 by 7 canvas.
It felt so good to paint today...
My goal for these Art Work Fridays were to force
me to pick up the brush more often!
I guess it took "snow" to make that happen!
If you have any original art work you would like to share,
join the party and link below!
I am always so inspired by your fantastic work!

Your lamb is so adorable! I am so glad you got to paint today! Is it hard to work with oils? I never tried. I love the look of an oil painting.
I wish I had a painting to link up today, but school has taken up all my time. I will enjoy everyone else's work today :)
We are getting the wind and snow now. Kids are hoping for no school tomorrow.
Thanks for hosting a fun party!

Hi Dee Dee,
The lamb picture is precious. I love farm animal pictures. And farm animals.
I don't have any art, but my sister has a blog about her art. She is into her city's art district in Greenville, SC. Her blog and art, all came to a halt when her husband ended up in the hospital 2 days after Christmas. And he just came home Monday. They thought it was a brain aneursym. Some kind of bleed. Well, now he has to regain some of his memory and moter skills.
That's why she hasn't posted in a while. You can read about her art here. She tells how she does it.

It's not really weird stuff, just some of it looks that way. Mexico's "Day of the Dead".
I hope you enjoy her art.

Oh goodness Dee Dee...that is awesome! I can't believe that's something you just whipped up this morning! You are so talented!
Have a good weekend! Lisa
You are talented indeed!! Glad you found some time to paint. It's important to have your creative time. Love the painting.

I love this! I have a thing for lambs! It would take me a month to be able to attempt something like this! You are so talented! Thank you for sharing!

Glad to hear you are finding time for your passion. I enjoy seeing your art pieces. Love, Jude
I always love your lambs... the texture, the shadows, the sweet expressions on their faces. Yours look wonderfully effortless. Any time I try something small without lots of detail, I feel as though they look like blobs. Yours are just great!
Do you name your paintings?
I'd have so much fun coming up with names (hahahah).
This is really a sweet painting and I like that it is so petite.
Aw...sweet little spring lamb. You know I don't have artwork!
Dee Dee,
I am probably too late now, but you had asked to use my "it matters" post for your bible study. Of course, you can. You can use any of my posts about Mom. I hope you used it this week. I tried to email you back through my "reply" but it wasn't linked to your email. Then I forgot to come by your blog. I am so sorry!
Have a great weekend!

Awwww....how adorable! Have you ever thought of teaching clases? You'd be good at it!
He Dee Dee,
Thanks for the info about your family in Greenville. I'm gonna ask Kay if she knows of that art shop. So cool. Such a small world.

Dee Dee, I would be honored! That is the sweetest request I had all day :)
Thank you for making my day!
