Art Work Friday

Welcome to Art Work Friday # I've already lost count!
Happy New Years!
Thank you for joining me today!
I also want to thank each person posting with me today.
I do so enjoy looking at all of the wonderful art work
each of you have created.

Today,
I'm posting one of my watercolors.

I have not given this one a title.
I tend to have a very heavy watercolor technique,
using the watercolor more like acrylics or oils vs. its
traditional translucent application.

As always, please feel free to join me!
Post your original art work including paintings, sculpture,
quilting, pottery etc...!

Happy New Year Dee Dee..
Sweetie this is the most beautiful painting. My gosh, I love the colors you have chosen. How very vibrant and alive this painting is. I believe this looks like a Mi Casa, Su Casa.

Have a wonderful New Year's Eve. Stay warm and safe. Thanks for sharing today. I so love it.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Dee Dee, That is a lovely painting. You are so talented. I was going to participate but I have no talent! LOL I was just going to take a picture of a piece of art I got for Christmas. When it is warmer I will let Josh and Keelie do some 'paw' work and will post that. Happy New Year!

DeeDee, I love your water colors, I also tend to have a heavy hand, and use water color like acrylic...I also love to use watered down acrylics to make watercolor look a likes. Will show some of my cards one day.
I enjoy stopping by.

Your watercolor is so very pretty! I love the sky, the water, and the reflection of the buildings in it... oh yes, and the colors, WOW! I tried watercolor and switched to oil. Those watercolors refuse to stay where I put them. And if I made a mistake in watercolor, there was not a lot I could do to correct it. In oil, you just let it dry and paint over it... see, I have no patience!

Last week was so crazy, I don't think I told you how much I liked the sheep. There is an artist near me who specializes in sheep and does a lot of scenes similar to yours. I'll see if I can find her website for you.

Never have tried watercolor, just oils and acrylics.
Looks like it would be hard.

This painting is beautiful. I love the sea green color (my favorite).

I hope you have many blessings in 2010 and I look forward to our continued friendship in the Land of Blog!

Dee Dee,
I thought I had commented on this wonderful painting of yours, but didn't.
It sure looks like an oil painting. But then again, I'm not an artist.
Happy New Year!

This is beautiful! I came over through Molly's blog and I am so glad that I did :o)

I only have this weekend before having to get back to work, (which means, I have to get as much blog reading done as I can!) Look forward to coming back when I can.

Blessings & Aloha!

HI Dee Dee! Thank you for visiting my blog, I wish I could say that I was talented enough to have painted the cat picture. My husband and I found it at a flea market. I really like your blog. Mary :O)

Hi Dee Dee, I'm new to your site and really enjoyed looking at your Artwork Fridays. I too have a heavy hand when doing watercolors. My teacher told me to do acrylics instead, so now I work in both mediums. Do whatever makes you feel good. :)
