Wrapping Paper Holder

I have been following several wonderful blogs over the past few months and have been inspired to join in on the fun. This is my first posting and I linked this to Between Naps on the Porch, Metamorphosis Monday. This is an easy project. I hope it inspires you as much as you all have inspired me.

Just last week my dear mother was asking what I had done with my three tier pie/ plate rack. Not having need for one, it was residing in my studio storage closet collecting dust!

Then last week while cleaning out a few closets, I discovered I needed a place to corral my wrapping paper. So....

Being very "thrifty" and prone to re-purposing I put my wrapping paper rolls into the plate holder. I was encouraged to see that my idea worked, however, I thought a deep flat bowl or plate in the bottom rung would make this portable. Unfortunately, I had no such bowl.

Until...

I cleaned out my pantry later that day and found this deep flat bowl, most likely from Chinese take out. So I tried it on the bottom rung and ...

It Fit!

I now have a great portable storage place for wrapping paper.

I have that ones identical twin hiding in my basement...and the Mr just tossed all of our gift wrap into that basement just last weekend because he was sick of the bins of it hanging out in our master closet.
Now I wish we had a dish like the one you fit into the bottom.
I think I'm hungry for chinese now...
Thanks for the clever idea, Im stealing it!
